One slow drain, or the whole line?
Not every backup is a main-line problem
The difference between a single clogged fixture and a sewer-line issue matters, it changes the fix entirely. Here's how to tell them apart before anyone starts digging.
- One slow fixture
- Usually a localized clog in that drain's branch line. Clearing it often resolves it.
- Multiple drains at once
- When several fixtures back up together, the issue is often further down, in the main line. That calls for a closer look.
